During his career as an attorney, Clint counseled and represented high net worth and ultra-high net worth business owners, entrepreneurs, creators, C-suite executives, and wealthy families to bring their financial plans to life. Clint has extensive experience and expertise using trusts and business entities to achieve and optimize his clients’ generational wealth transfer, income tax minimization, and related financial goals. Clients often called upon Clint to serve as “general counsel” in a wide array of business and personal matters.

Clint also has significant experience counseling clients with a variety of related and overlapping matters, including:

• Administering probate and non-probate decedent’s estates
• Trust decanting, modification, and post-mortem planning
• Advising families on special needs planning issues
• Counseling clients on potential and actual trust and will contests and controversies
• Structuring and implementing family offices and virtual family offices
• Advising clients on inbound and outbound international tax and related international estate planning
• Crafting wealth preservation and asset protection plans
• Implementing pre-sale estate and tax planning and business succession planning
• Assisting clients with captive insurance planning
• Engaging in business planning including general counsel, M&A activity, reorganizations, recapitalizations, and financing matters
• Creating charitable giving structures and plans to actualize client wealth preservation and philanthropic goals

In addition to his legal experience and training, Clint is a Certified Public Accountant. He has presented and educated numerous times on estate, tax, business planning and related areas for multiple industry and affinity groups. Clint has also served as an adjunct professor of legal writing at the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Clint resides in Chicago with his wife and elementary school-aged son. When they’re not enjoying city life, you can find them exploring along Red Arrow Highway in Southwest Michigan and enjoying the fun and sun of Central Florida and the Florida Gulf Coast.
