Joseph Mattia

Dedicated to helping employers across the country prepare themselves and their employees for retirement, Joe leads Choreo’s specialty service line for retirement plan advisory solutions, including 401(k), 403(b) and profit-sharing plans.

As a trusted advisor, Joe consults with the leadership team of the company sponsoring the plan to provide a road map to retirement success for their employees. Joe encourages courageous thinking on plan design that enables clients to consider what they truly want to achieve in retirement. With his deep industry knowledge earned over more than 25 years of service, he is able to determine the best fit, implement best practices to mitigate risk for plan sponsors, and work in the best interests of plan participants and their beneficiaries.

Joe partners with Choreo’s certified public accountants and consultants to deliver independent, objective guidance and fiduciary investment advice. Additional responsibilities include fiduciary compliance, employee education, plan design, provider searches, fee benchmarking, committee meetings, vendor management and success measurement.

Joe participates in the firm’s Family First and Interfaith employee network groups. He reluctantly retired from coaching his sons in hockey, baseball and football when they aged out of youth sports, and not so reluctantly retired from marathon running. He is a three-time finisher of the Chicago Marathon.
