James is a Senior Director of Wealth Management at Choreo, based in the Columbia, Maryland office. James plays a vital role in supporting wealth advisors across the region, delivering in-depth investment insights, portfolio strategies, and research to help them serve their clients with confidence.
James brings more than 15 years of experience in the financial servics industry, with deep expertise in investment research, equity analysis, portfolio management, and financial modeling. He holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and Chartered Market Technician (CMT®) designations, underscoring his strong foundation in both fundamental and technical investment disciplines.
Before joining Choreo, James served as a Senior Investment Analyst at BDO USA, LLP, where he was responsible for portfolio construction, due diligence, and market research. He also spent eight years at Hefren-Tillotson, Inc., advancing through roles as Junior Analyst, Portfolio Analyst and ultimately Research Analyst. Earlier in his career, James held investment and operational roles at Mellon Capital and BNY Mellon, gaining valuable experience in asset management and account reconciliation.
James strengths lie in his analytical rigor, collaborative mindset, and ability to distill complex data into actionable insights for advisors and their clients. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
