Kelly O’Donnell

Chief People & Transformation Officer

As Chief People & Transformation Officer at Choreo, Kelly leads the firm’s people and talent strategy, organizational transformation and integration efforts, and works across the enterprise on strategic alignment and change. She is focused on helping Choreo build the leadership, talent and organizational capabilities needed to support the firm’s continued growth and long-term strategy.

Kelly brings more than 30 years of experience across wealth management, strategy, growth, talent and enterprise leadership. She began her career as a CPA with PwC before joining Cerulli Associates, where she advised financial services firms and RIAs on growth strategy and industry trends.

Prior to joining Choreo, Kelly spent more than two decades at Financial Engines and Edelman Financial Engines in senior executive roles spanning business leadership, strategy, operations, talent and risk. Most recently, she led the firm’s Workplace business. During her tenure, she helped scale the company’s workplace and wealth businesses, led strategic transactions and integrations, oversaw corporate strategy and development, and played a central role in enterprise transformation.

Kelly has also been a longtime advocate for leadership development and advancing women in financial services. She founded and sponsored leadership programs for women at Edelman Financial Engines, has served as an industry spokesperson and has testified before Congress on financial issues.

Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Missouri and completed the Women in Leadership Executive Program at Harvard Business School.

Kelly will be operating out of Choreo’s Charlotte office. Outside of work, Kelly is active in nonprofit and community work focused on mental health and domestic violence, enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends, and is an avid sports fan—from Formula 1 to the NFL.
